Institutions have a catalytic role to play and can bring a transformational change. We need to think scientifically about public health. Along with medical doctors, we need to develop in parallel the health management faculty so that we build health systems and institutions that can address problems effectively.

Being an engineer, I had limited knowledge of the healthcare/medical area when I first joined IIPHG. But the faculty members' motivating sessions stoked me to learn and comprehend things. After hearing a lot about healthcare concepts, I made the decision that I needed to start working right away in this industry. Because faculty members were so approachable, we always got a chance to learn more about topics and case studies that were regularly mentioned in/out of the syllabus. This came in handy when I had to face a hiring committee for an interview and helped me land a job in the medical field. Not to mention, I'm pleased to announce that, in addition to my regular job, I've also started my own business. The heritage of this institution lives inside me forever, and I will always suggest it to anyone who wants to pursue a career in the MHA/MPH specialty.

Those two years have been an absolute bliss for me. I have grown so much as a professional as well as a person. IIPHG gave me a clear sight of my qualities and potential. I have indeed blossomed. The holistic curriculum of MPH gave me wisdom and better insights about the world and enabled me to grow so much professionally. Opting for an MPH at IIPHG has been the best professional decision of my life till now. It is as if I am made for Public Health. I am proud that I landed my first job at UNDP in a state lead position in West Bengal. I switched to WISH Foundation as Manager of Public Health in my home state, Assam. I secured offers from organizations like WHO, JHPIEGO, and JSI in their National office in Delhi while planning to switch from UNDP but opted to come back home and serve my community/state Lastly, I would be always in love with IIPHG and forever grateful for all the lessons learned there.
