Dr. Harsh Shah is a faculty member at the Indian Institute of Public Health. With a background in strategic policy and planning, resource management, and innovative solutions, Dr. Shah has recently contributed to the “Closing the gaps in TB care cascade Project,” reducing patient dropouts and National level assessment of the largest voluntary donation scheme for TB patients in India: Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan”. His role as a Senior Consultant for the Department of Health and Family Welfare in Gujarat involved program planning and analytical support, enhancing the state’s healthcare initiatives. He has also been involved in expanding Special Newborn Care Units and developing policies for RMNCH+A health interventions at National and State level. Dr. Shah is recognized as a certified assessor of National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS). He has contributed to research publications with h Index 7 and i10 Index 6.

Dr. Harsh Shah’s career highlights include developing the mHealth tool “Ni-kshay Setu,” used by healthcare workers across India, and working on several digital health solutions for patient care. He is equipped with the skill of knowledge management and serving as a master trainer for various national health programs. He has also published books on decentralized health planning, documented best practices in Gujarat’s healthcare sector, and actively participated in epidemic (communicable diseases) prevention efforts.

Beyond his professional work, Dr. Shah is a state player in multiple sports and has participated in national championships, showcasing his dedication and leadership inside and outside the healthcare arena. He has wide interest in photography and won many national and international awards.
