IIPHG is spread in 40 acres of lush green area on the eastern side of Gandhinagar. Located amidst the ravines of the Sabarmati, the IIPHG campus harbours and maintains a rich and diverse ecology of flora and fauna by integrating various facilities and activities with the landscape. Its 1, 30,000 square feet built-up area has been designed by the world famous architect Ashok Lall, a specialist in low energy sustainable architecture. The graceful and functional buildings tread gently on the ground to minimize the impact on the frail ecology and topography. Well connected from Ahmedabad through radio cabs and public transport, the wifi-enabled campus provides safe and secure learning and living experience. While the corridor connecting the entrance with the building also serves as a walking and jogging trail, the bright and airy corridors inside the building serve as spaces for intellectually stimulating discussions.
Academic area: The institute has three big classrooms (60 seats) and four small classrooms (30 seats). In addition, there are two breakout spaces for group work and discussion etc. It also houses a multi-purpose indoor auditorium with seating capacity of 110 persons. The institute also has a seminar room with video conferencing facility. Although most students own laptops, the institute has a computer laboratory with 20 personal computers.
Library: Spread over 3597 square feet area, the library provides ample space for reading and writing. It has a collection of more than 2500 books and several academic reports. It has a collection of around 350 CDs and DVDs, 380 thesis, 92 internship reports, and 12 photo albums. It also has a subscription for nine journals and 13 magazines. Several other journals are accessed through the subscription of PHFI.
Hostel: IIPHG has 140 single occupancy hostel rooms with a private balcony as well as attached toilet and bathroom. These rooms are spread across six floors and provide a fantastic view of the campus and river Sabarmati. Separate wings are available for male and female students. The hostel premises has automatic lifts and are well connected with academic and administrative blocks. The premise is guarded round the clock by male and female security guards. The campus also provides for indoor sports like carrom, table tennis, chess, etc. It also has facilities for outdoor sports like football and badminton.
Canteen: Connected with the hostel, the dining area provides healthy and wholesome meals three times a day. The spacious, well-lit and airy dining area also serves as an engaging space for students discussions.
