About MPH–Public Health Nutrition Program
Addressing the critical challenges of malnutrition and nutrition-related public health concerns in India and globally, the Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG) offers a two-year, full-time Master of Public Health with Specialisation in Public Health Nutrition (MPH-PHN). This program is designed to develop public health professionals with advanced competencies in nutrition science, population health, and program implementation. Rooted in academic rigor and field-based learning, the curriculum enables students to apply evidence-based nutrition strategies to improve health outcomes across communities and health systems.

The MPH–Public Health Nutrition program prepares graduates for specialized roles in nutrition and public health sectors. Alumni work with international organizations such as UNICEF, WHO, and WFP; government departments and national programs; NGOs and implementation partners such as JSI, Jhpiego, and IHAT; research institutions; foundations; and healthcare organizations. Graduates are employed as nutrition program managers, public health nutritionists, monitoring and evaluation specialists, researchers, and consultants. Some pursue higher education or research careers, while others engage in entrepreneurship and nutrition-focused social enterprises. The placement cell supports students in exploring and securing relevant career opportunities.
