About IIPHG
The Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG) is an example of the visionary leadership of Honourable Shri Narendra Modi (then Honourable Chief Minister of Gujarat), established in 2008 as a joint initiative of the Government of Gujarat and the Public Health Foundation of India. IIPHG was recognized as a state university by a special enactment of the IIPH Act 2015 by the Government of Gujarat on 25 February 2015. IIPHG Campus is a state-of-the-art green campus spread over 52 acres of land in Gandhinagar, aoed by the Government of Gujarat with state-of-the-art research facilities and laboratories.
IIPHG presently oers Six fu-time programs: Master of Public Health (MPH), MPH (Public Health Nutrition), MPH (Health Economics and Technology Assessment), Master of Health Administration, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), and Post-graduation in Public Health Management (PGDPHM). In addition to that, IIPHG also oers e-programs like Research Methodology, Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis, Health Safety Environment, Grant Writing, Public Health and Hospital Management. Faculties at IIPHG undertake various research projects in the larger Public Health and Hospital Management domain. Key Research work at IIPHG focuses on domains like RMNCH+A, Nutrition, Infectious Diseases, One Health & Neglected Tropical Diseases, Climate Change and Environmental Health, WASH, NCD, Mental Health, Geriatric Population, and Health Technology Assessment.
The institute is also recognized as an ICMR Coaborating Centre of Exceence (CoE) and has established various Centres of Exceence over the years, as in Figure 1. IIPHG’s commitment to exceence extends beyond research, making it a dynamic hub for advancing public health knowledge and practice.
